Hence, the government deems it necessary to give this formerly unpopular sport the lion’s share of the spotlight.
As a nod to the AYUSH juggernaut, the ministry has put in place a comprehensive program to promote the sport, and has entered into a Technical Service Agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO).
